Purchaser Information

Thank you for your purchase of Coppock on Tennessee Adoption Law, 8th Edition. If you don’t have your book, it should soon arrive by USPS.

I trust that you have all obtained access by email to the Adoption Library. If you don’t see the email, first check your junk email folder for an email from contact@goodlawtn.com.

If you don’t see the email, you can also reach your link from your Good Law account. To log into your account, go to https://www.goodlawtn.com/my-account/
You’ll need your username and password to log in.
The username is your email. If you don’t remember your password, and it doesn’t pop in automatically, you can reset it from the sign-in link.

The Adoption Library is available for ONE download. When you click “download” the library will immediately and automatically download to the computer that you are on. Be sure you are on the computer that you use for your work when you download the Adoption Library. On many computers the files land in the computer’s downloads folder, so if the location isn’t immediately obvious, check the downloads folder.

The forms are saved as Word Templates to avoid users inadvertently saving modified documents on top of the reusable form. To save a modified form use the “save as” function to give the document a meaningful name, like Smith.April2024.Petition for Adoption or whatever system is used in your office.

Remember that these forms are protected by copyright. You are licensed to use these forms in your practice but not to share them with anyone else who has not purchased the book and library. I appreciate your respect for my rights to my work.

I recommend printing the Adoption Library Catalog.pdf (Table of Contents) from your Adoption Library to keep in your book for quick reference.

To share the answers to questions others have asked so far:

  • The Petitions and orders have a copyright footer. That footer is designed to be deleted when you use the form. My name does not need to appear anywhere in your pleadings.
  • A few purchasers have found that in addition to the functional forms files with file names that begin with a number, they also get a “ghost” file or two beginning with a “~” before a filename. These ~ files won’t open. The ~ files are just download hiccups. If they appear, delete them. So far, when the users have gotten a ghost file the actual and usable file for the same or correct document has also appeared.  If you find however that you are missing any files listed on the table of contents let us know.
